This is the first book I’ve written in English, and I must say, I had a blast playing with the language—I absolutely adore it. I poured all my curiosity into exploring different kinks and desires that draw people into the bedroom (and let’s be real, anywhere else—no judgment here!). But it’s more than just spicy tales. I wanted to write something romantic that also reflects a deeper truth, that not all women are desperate to fall into the typical mould of a relationship. Some of us feel a real fear of losing our independence, our vibrancy, and, at times, even a piece of who we are. It’s not always about chasing happily-ever-after; it’s about staying true to ourselves, even when love is in the mix.
But this book is much more than just steamy encounters and playful fantasies. At its heart, there’s a secret that Katty, the main character, stumbles upon almost unintentionally. She begins to uncover that her past, her roots, are far different from what she’s believed her entire life. As her imagination and sense of possession drive her deeper into this mystery, she finds herself facing a shocking discovery—one that forces her to rewrite everything she thought she knew about herself and her family. It’s a journey that shakes her to her core, challenging not only her beliefs but her very identity.
There’s (at least) one more layer to this story. People are often quick to judge a woman who stays in an abusive relationship—some even have the audacity to say she deserves it because, after all, why wouldn’t she just leave, right? But that mindset is just the other extreme. On one side, you have a woman too scared to give herself fully to a relationship, and on the other, there’s the woman who can’t seem to pull herself out of a self-destructive one. This book dives into both extremes, shedding light on the complexities of these situations—ones that are far more layered than people often assume.

Katty seems to have it all – a solid career, sharp mind, and independence most women dream of. She’s convinced she wants a decent man in her life, but whenever she finds one, her fierce craving for freedom comes roaring back. But beneath her polished exterior, Katty hides a tantalising secret: she’s discovered a passion for exhibitionism, secretly filming adult content for her own pleasure, with the bonus of some extra cash rolling in. Her sister, Candy, couldn’t be more different. Trapped in a crumbling marriage, Candy’s life takes a sinister turn when Katty uncovers the brutal truth about her brother-in-law.
Craving the Shadows is a dark and gripping tale of two women bound by blood but divided by fate. With raw insights into the adult industry and Katty’s own mysterious journey simmering beneath, this is a story of strength, secrets, and survival.
